G reeley Colorado is a vibrant and growing city located an hour north of Denver and thirty minutes from the Front Range of the majestic Rocky Mountains. Greeley is the largest city in Weld County and has a population 76,930 residents. The name Union Colony was later changed to Greeley in honor of Horace Greeley who was Meeker's editor at the New York Tribune. Today Greeley is a center of excitement and education. The high schools offer comprehensive programs including Advanced Placement and International Baccalaureate programs.
